- Ness Middle School will be participating in its annual Terry Fox Walk/Run on Friday, September 29th at approximately 10:45 am (rain date: Monday, October 2nd). Students and teachers will be walking or running for approximately 45 minutes in our community to celebrate Terry Fox and the Marathon of Hope. At Ness, we believe that this is an excellent way to foster a sense of belonging and unity by participating as a school toward a great cause: cancer research.
- Terry Fox said, “When I started this run, I said that if we all gave one dollar, we'd have $22 million for cancer research, and I don't care man, there's no reason that isn't possible. No reason!” Our school fundraising goal mirrors that of Terry's; for each student to bring in one dollar to support the Terry Fox Foundation. Should your family choose to make a donation, it can be handed into your child's homeroom teacher at any time this week. Thank you for your support!
Students should remember to wear Ness colours (green, yellow and black) and be dressed for their walk or run outside. They should also bring water bottles with them.
